# Long-term viability of Serverless?

I really like this framework and my company is strongly considering using more of it, especially the Serverless Container Framework, but I am concerned by the lack of activity, broken links, lack of documentation updates, etc.

Is this a dying project? Is something big brewing? Can someone suggest where I can get some insight into what is going on?

A few examples of things I wish for greater visibility:

- Documentation on how SCF uses Cloud Native Buildpacks
- Some semblance of a roadmap of enhancements (like when we can start specifying stage and region in the serverless.containers.yml file)
- Python examples showing both dev and prod configs
- Examples highlighting flexibility of deployment stages–environment variables vs Parameter Store, for instance.

I definitely don’t want to seem negative. This is such a neat project and I want to see it successful, but we cannot choose a framework in stagnation.

If you look at the frequency of releases, I don’t think you can accurately say the project is stagnating:

You’ve clearly got a wishlist of features / enhancements. Have you looked in the [issues list](https://github.com/serverless/serverless/issues) to see if they are covered, and raised them if not?

Right you are. That will be my next stop after feeling out whether or not that was going to be a worthwhile effort. I do appreciate the callout though, because looking at the closed issue cadence shows evidence of a lot of activity that is otherwise hard to find!
